Dave’s decade at Positive
Last month saw Key Account Manager Dave Barrell celebrate a decade at Positive. In this exclusive interview we ask him how Positive has changed and what the future holds.
How has Positive changed over the last 10 years?
“We saw significant advances in print technology over a relatively short amount of time, which meant that we could print jobs much faster. When the Heidelberg XL75 was installed I used to joke that it could print jobs quicker than I could quote them!”
What hasn’t changed?
“The core team at Positive has remained the same, which has kept us strong. Some of our war horse equipment, such as our Heidelberg Sormz, is still going strong – I think it will last forever!”
Why has Positive thrived when other printers have closed?
“As well as a strong team our technology is what sets us apart. We have always re-invested in technology and the team, which has kept us going.”
What has kept you at Positive for so long?
“I really enjoy the job and the people- I have really nice clients. As well as working in the office with the team I am able to go out and visit clients, so I have the best of both worlds. Plus it is very varied and busy.”
What does the future hold?
“I think we need to continue to be on the front foot with new technology, we have some very exciting multi-channel marketing technology coming in. Here’s to another 10 years!”
